Repeat customer. The pho is light and hearty and hits the spot on a cold day. However, my favourite will have to be the Bun Bo Hue! It's the perfect amount of spiciness for me while not overpowering the other flavours. I'm also a huge fan of the spring rolls. They are so crispy and crunchy - keep in mind that one order only comes with one piece and not two. Overall, great experience!!

Decent pho along Lonsdale Ave. It is great on a cool evening and you want something quick and hot to warm you up.

Service is ok and the pho is served very soon after you order. I had the beef brisket and beef balls pho. I will not say it is the best pho around but it is good enough to go back again if I am in the area.

There is a TV so you can entertain yourself if dining alone with watching whatever program is on.

This was a fast and easy way to find Pho Take out. The food was excellent, fresh and met my expectations. I called and my order was ready within 10 minutes to pick up. I ordered the pho soup and spring rolls, super delish!

As a 30-year North Van resident, I feel compelled to write this warning as part of my community service to NV residents.

Warning: All one-star ratings on the site is true and in line with my own observations and experience. Stay away unless you are adrenaline junky who enjoy "bad treatment."

While most contributors visited this place during normal lunch/dinner hours, I came mainly late at 11pm+ after my works - at that time, you could imagine not much customers (therefore no servers except owner's wife). I can vouch all negative service reviews were equally applicable at night or even worse - because you would face the mother-of-all-evil herself: the owner's wife or the boss-woman.

I would be remiss if I don't qualify my above characterization of the owner or owner's wife by stating that she is not that bad "half" of the time. This is so because she treated customers differently based on their racial background. For some, she treats you like "King"; for others, she treads you like "junk." Very disgraceful.

This is simply my go to pho place. I'm going to have trouble finding another one once I move, but my family often has a craving for pho. The five stars I'm giving this place is most importantly because of the lightness and naturalness of the pho. I have lived in three different cities and eaten at probably hundreds of pho places but nothing compares to here. Much like bad ramen, a low quality pho makes u feel sick and weighed down because of the oil and msg. This is the only place I have been to ever that hasn't given me that terrible feeling and for that alone it deserves five stars, but that's not all. Although the staff may seem scary at first, they're actually very kind, and considerate, especially to regulars. I once asked the waitress about an allergy of mine and not only did she assure me there were no peanuts in my dish but she entered the kitchen and made sure there was no cross contamination. Now just like any place it does have a flaws. One of these is the decor and the vibe it creates. The furniture is very sparkly and purple and overall has several different styles that don't really fit. The flavour of the the pho (as opposed to the feel which I discussed) is very standard with possibly a little more tangy broth than usual, which I don't mind. I'm sure there is better pho in town but this is surely one of the best and it's current three and a half star rating is absurd. I hope you can see the hidden gem that I see in this little weird pho place on Lonsdale.
